QRAP-CT welcomes you to our 16-Lane, 60 yard outdoor Archery Range. We’re ready to test your skills!
You don't have to be a seasoned archer to enjoy our range. We offer lessons for beginners and supply equipment rentals so you can learn which type of bow works best for you. Kids are welcome too!

Archery Instruction, General Information
Adult Archery Program is a program of USA Archery that allows adults to learn proper shooting technique, achieve awards based on score, and pursue competition if they wish, during a series of classes taught by a certified coach or instructor. Similar in scope to USA Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) program, the Adult Archery Program is the logical “next step” for adult archers pursuing this lifetime sport.
What does the Adult Archery Program offer the archer? In addition to receiving clear instruction and coaching via our National Training System. membership in an archery program supplies unique benefits to adults, including the opportunity to make new friends, a great upper-body workout, and the chance to build self-confidence, and learn team-building skills. Beginner Archery Lessons concentrates on range rules, safety rules, range courtesy and fundamentals of archery, and is taught using recurve equipment. It is appropriate for those who have never shot a bow, or those with some previous experience that are seeking a refresher lesson, or re-introduction to archery using correct shooting techniques.
All safety gear and equipment will be provided (bow, arrows, finger tab, arm guard, quiver).
Advanced Beginner Lessons focuses on form and safety, teaching basics that will get students safely shooting and a general feel for archery. Instructors go over range rules, safety gear (finger tabs, arm guards, sling, etc.), and size the bow and arrow to each archer. Instructors also work on getting the best use of our muscles and balance, combined with clear mental preparation, teaching a series of components/steps which build on one another.
USA ARCHERY certified coach instructors teach the National Training System which is the method of training established by the US Olympic Archery Coaches. This training form is filtering down through all youth and adult programs nationwide.
One-hour classes allow students to gear up and continue with training basics in safety and form. Coach supervised training includes recurve bow and all safety equipment. Continuing, ongoing instruction, accommodating various skill levels and equipment styles. Classes Cover: refining form, understanding equipment needs, equipment purchasing options, tournament rules, timing, string alignment, concentration and back tension.
Safety Rules for Clothing
— Clothing should be snug around the chest and arms so as not to get caught in the bowstring.
— Please remove jewelry such as long ear-rings, necklaces and arm bangles.
— Long hair needs to be tied back.
— No flip flops—CLOSED TOE SHOES REQUIRED
Party it Up
Our archery ranges are available for Birthday Parties, Fundraisers and Corporate Events
Reserve the range for your party for $450. You get 2 hours for 10 archers. If your party is bigger, the price is $48.00 for each additional shooter.
No matter your age (16+ yrs), an archery event is one that everyone is sure to remember. Reserve our archery range and let your friends and family shoot until their heart's content.

Essential instructions are covered prior to shooting, including correctly sizing equipment to the archer (bow, arrows, safety gear etc.) determining eye dominance, range rules, safety rules and fundamentals of archery.

Private Archery Lessons by Appointment
QRAP-CT offers Private Archery Lessons with flexible scheduling. Archery lessons are taught by USA Archery certified instructor, all necessary recurve, and safety equipment is provided, or the student may bring their own, if approved by coach.
Depending on the goals of the student, the programs can focus on an introduction and "taste" of the sport; we offer skills for recreational shooting or preparation for tournament competition.
Archery is a self-challenging and rewarding activity, blending physical and mental resources. Individual lessons by Appointment.
All Private Lessons include range fees, instructor, and gear (recurve bows, arrows, armguards, quivers, and finger tabs).
Private Lesson with Own equipment: 60 min, $58
Price includes an additional 30 min of free-range time.

For the first 4 participants, and $40 for each added participant up to 7.
